The national council for tertiary vocational education
Vox has been given a new task – to act as the secretariat for the newly established national council for tertiary vocational education.
Working to improve cooperation between the vocational colleges and the education system in general, and working life is one of the priorities of the council.
The council is an advisory body appointed by the Ministry of Education and Research. Vox acts as the secretariat.
The vocational colleges represent an alternative to higher education, and are important institutions as to increased competence and specialisation in vocational trades.
Representatives from the vocational tertiary education sector, employers’ organisations, unions and students’ organisations are members of the council. Their job is to make the opinions of the council known to the Ministry.
